One Extricated On Maddox Road

7th District Volunteers, April 04

Thursday at 21:26 hours, Squad 5, Squad 2, EMS 59, 29 and ALS were alerted to the area of 24298 Maddox Road in Chaptico for a single vehicle into a tree with one trapped. Callers reported that the single occupant was in and out of consciousness.

7th District Volunteers, March 23

On Saturday afternoon department members and invited guests gathered at the station to celebrate our 75th Anniversary. This ceremony is happening just prior to the date of the very first business meeting held March 28, 1949.

Fatal Shed Fire In Avenue

7th District Volunteers, February 17

At 2320 hours on Friday, Stations 5, 1, 2, 7, 9, 6 along with EMS Stations 59, 19 and ALS were alerted to a reported structure fire with subjects trapped in the 37000 Block of River Springs Road in Avenue. Responding units were advised there was a shed on fire near the home with a possible person trapped inside.

At 10:44 a.m. on Monday, Stations 5, 2, 1, 7, 1014, and EMS Stations 59 were alerted to a reported house fire on Notley Woods Lane in Chaptico. Multiple Crews Respond To Colton's Point House Fire

7th District Volunteers, February 02

Friday night at 8:05 p.m., Stations 5, 1, 2, 7, 6, 3 and 9 along with EMS stations 59 and 29 were alerted to a house fire on Beach Road in Colton's Point. Initial indications were from the police who arrived for a police incident and reported there was a fire in the home. On Sunday evening at 1929 hours, Station 5 and surrounding companies were alerted a a vehicle fire threatening a structure at Taylor Farm in Bushwood. Engine 51 responded with 4 and upon arrival located a tractor fully involved with extension to a barn. The crew from 51 stretched a handline across the field and quickly knocked the fire. On Saturday and Sunday several members took part in the annual Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention. This year, the events were held in Calvert County and hosted by the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department.
