Restoration Project On 1951 Engine

- Over the past several months members have been working on a restoration project of Engine 52. Engine 52 was the first new fire engine purchased by the department. The engine was the second in our fleet after the department was formed. The first engine was a 1940 Dodge that was purchased from the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department. Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention

- On Saturday and Sunday members took part in the annual Southern Maryland Convention. This year's convention was held in Leonardtown and sponsored by the Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad. Serious Motorcycle Accident In Clements

- In the early morning hours on Sunday, Stations 5, 59, 19 and the Medic Unit were alerted to a motor vehicle accident on Colton Point Road in the area of Budds Creek Road. Units arrived on the scene and located a single patient that was ejected from a motorcycle into a guard rail. Chief 5 held the command and a helicopter was requested. Crew Attends Career Day at Dynard Elementary
MAY 03
- Friday morning an engine crew went out to Dynard Elementary for Career Day. The group rotated about 8 classes and over 300 kids speaking about careers in the fire and rescue service. Members Take Part In Mock Crash At Chopticon High School
MAY 02
- On Thursday morning a crew with Squad 5 went to Chopticon High School to participate in a mock vehicle accident demonstration. A two vehicle accident was simulated for the Seniors at the school with the upcoming prom to remind them of the dangers of drinking and driving.
