Engine 52 Attends 9/11 Parade on Patuxent River NAS

On Thursday morning, Engine 52 along with a number of other units from throughout the county, attended a 9/11 memorial service and parade held on Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The event began with a parade that led to a brief memorial and reading by servicemen on base. Crews Assist At Demolition Derby

On Saturday evening, several members attended the annual Silver Hill Lions Club Demolition Derby held at Potomac Motor Speedway. Crews were on hand to stand by during the derby in the event any incidents were to occur.

Station Alerted To Head On Collision

On Friday evening just before 1700 hours, Company 5, Squad 1 and EMS Companies 59, 19 and 29 were alerted to the area of Oakley Road and Cobrums Wharf Road for the reported serious motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Chief 5 responded just after dispatch and was the first to arrive advising of a two vehicle head on collision blocking the roadway. Chief 5 advised there were six total patients ... Annual Children's Day Held At St. Clement's Island Museum

On Saturday members attended the annual children's day event at the St. Clement's Island Museum. The event was from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. There were many events for the kids including face painting, kiddie tractor pulls, sack races, and a mini battle of the buckets game.

Two Vehicle Accident On Budds Creek Road

On Friday at 1335 hours, Stations 5, 59 and 19 were alerted to a two vehicle accident on Budds Creek Road at the intersection of Long Road. Units arrived on the scene and located a rear end style collision with two injuries. Squad 5 secured the vehicles and assisted EMS with packaging the patients. Mill Point Shores House Fire With Reported Subject Trapped

On Friday morning at 0910 hours, Companies 5, 2, 1, Charles 14 along with EMS Stations 59, 29 and ALS were alerted to the 36000 block of Sunrise Avenue in Mill Point Shores for the reported working house fire.
