Serious Motor Vehicle Accident On Budds Creek Road

7th District Volunteers, May 25

On Monday afternoon at 1332 hours, Station 2, Station 5, EMS 29, 59 and 19 were alerted to a serious motor vehicle accident on Budds Creek Road near Maddox Road. While responding, the location was updated to Budds Creek Road in the area of Horseshoe Road in Company 5's area. Company 1 was also added to the call. Team Wins First Annual Softball Tournament

7th District Volunteers, May 24

On Saturday members participated in the 1st Annual Fire Department Softball Tournament. The tournament was organized by the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department and held at Cryer's Backroad Inn. The day started with 4 other teams which were Ridge, Second District, Hollywood and Leonardtown.

Squad Alerted To Serious MVA In Chaptico

On Tuesday evening at 1800 hours, Stations 2, Squad 2, Squad 5, Company 29, Company 59 and SMALS were alerted to Budds Creek Road in the area of Woodmark Court for the reported serious motor vehicle accident. Units from Station 2 were clearing a house fire in Golden Beach at the time of the call. Squad 5 responded at dispatch with a total of 6 volunteers. Southern Maryland Firemen's Convention And Parade

On Saturday April 26, 2014 the annual Southern Maryland Convention was held at the Newburg Volunteer Fire Department in Charles County. The afternoon began with the memorial service honoring members of departments who passed away last year. After the memorial service the convention meeting was held. During the meeting the department was awarded 1st place in Class III for our fire prevention entry.

Squad And Engine Respond To Mechanicsville Accident

On Saturday evening while crews from Mechanicsville were working at a MVA with entrapment on Baptist Church Road, Station 5 was alerted to a MVA on Yowaiski Mill Road. Squad 5 and Engine 52 both responded with a total of 8 volunteers. Units arrived to find a single vehicle off the road with a single occupant still inside. Engine Responds On Charles County Woods Fire

Monday afternoon at 1330 hours, Station 5 was alerted along with Stations 2 and 1 on an upgraded assignment mutual aid to Charles County at 13900 Stoltzfus Lane in Charlotte Hall. Units from Company 2 were already responding when additional calls were taken for a woods fire now threatening a residence. Engine 52 responded to the call with 5 volunteers.
