Company 5 Alerted for Hazardous Condition in 5-10 Box
JANUARY 20
- On Friday evening at 1839 hours, Company 5 was alerted for a Hazardous Condition at 37010 Willie Cheseldine Road in Bushwood. Squad 5 responded shortly after dispatch and arrived on location along with Chief 5. Crews located a 250 gallon heating oil drum that had been overturned and leaked off an estimated 20-35 gallons of fuel oil to the rear of the residence. Squad Runs MVA in Chaptico
DECEMBER 12
- Monday morning at 0656, Station 5 was alerted for a personal injury accident on Maddox Road near Budds Creek Road. Squad 5 responded with four personnel and arrived to locate a single vehicle that had struck a patch of ice and veered off the roadway. Annual Community Christmas Party And Tree Lighting

- On Friday evening the annual Community Christmas Party and Tree Lighting was held at the station. This event held each year is sponsored by the Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary, Seventh District Volunteer Rescue Squad and Auxiliary, Seventh District Optimist Club, American Legion Post 221 and Auxiliary and the St. Clement's Island Museum. Annual Installation Of Officer's

- On Saturday evening the department held its annual Installation of Officers and Awards Banquet. The evening began with installing the 2012 Officer's. The Operational, Executive and the Auxiliary Officers were sworn in by representatives from the Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association. Traumatic Injuries in Maddox
NOVEMBER 24
- On Thanksgiving morning at 1013 hours, Stations 5, 59 and the Medic unit were called to 36184 Willow Glen Lane in Maddox for a subject reported to have been thrown from a horse with a neck injury. Engine 54 responded shortly after dispatch, followed by Brush 5 and UTV 5.
