Crews Stand By At Annual Fishing Derby

Saturday morning was the annual Kids Fishing Derby at the Raley's Farm in Avenue. An engine and brush crew stood by for the event which started at 8 am and lasted most of the morning despite some rain in the area. As usual there was an awesome turn out and every kid that came out had a great time. The 7th District Optimist Club sponsored the event and provided food and drinks for everyone free of charge. Awards were given out by age group for first, second and third place for most fish caught along with an award for the biggest fish caught.
