On Monday morning at 0616 hours, Station 5 was alerted to a landing zone on Budds Creek Road at Woodmark Court in Chaptico. Squad 2 and EMS units were responding to an accident involving a single motorcycle that struck a deer. Maryland State Police arrived and requested a helicopter. Engine 54 set up the landing zone just down from the accident for Trooper 7 while Squad 2 operated on the scene. Once the patient was loaded into the helicopter and they transported, Engine 54 returned to quarters.
