On Saturday evening, several members attended the annual Silver Hill Lions Club Demolition Derby held at Potomac Motor Speedway. Crews were on hand to stand by during the derby in the event any incidents were to occur.

After a short delay to the start due to rain showers, the derby began and two classes were completed. Unfortunately, the next band of rain moved in and put an early end to the night with the event being called due to weather. Despite the shortened event crews were quick to handle a few minor vehicle fires during the stand by.
