On Friday October 10, 2014 several volunteers attended fire prevention at Dynard Elementary School. Volunteers staffed Engine 51, Squad 5 and Tanker 5 to take to the school. As units arrived a fire drill was conducted. Once students were settled back in school a large assembly was held in the cafeteria. Members provided the students with numerous lessons on fire prevention. After a short talk, the students cheered on their favorite firefighter during a race to get geared up. All of the students then got to tour the apparatus. Members returned back to the school in the afternoon to visit the afternoon pre-k class.
