At 0015 hours, Boat 5 was alerted mutual aid to Westmoreland County Virginia for a marina fire. The fire was located at the Port Kinsale Marina which is located on Allen Point Road in Kinsale, VA. Virginia land units arrived to find the covered slips at the marina well involved in fire with several boats burning. Boat 5 responded on the call with four volunteers. The high winds caused rough waters during the trip to the Yeocomico River which is south of Ragged Point.

Upon arrival, Boat 5 assisted units with extinguishing the remains of the several burned boats and the remaining structure of the covered slips. Virginia units were also working to extinguish a large brush fire that had began across from the slips. The crew on Boat 5 operated the deck gun for approximately and hour. Officials from the Virginia Emergency Management and Virginia State Police Arson Investigation Unit took over the scene once the fire had been extinguished.

The fire was in the first due area of the Cople District Volunteer Fire Department, Station 3. Boat 5 returned to quarters just after 0400 hours.
