On Saturday members participated in the 1st Annual Fire Department Softball Tournament. The tournament was organized by the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department and held at Cryer's Backroad Inn. The day started with 4 other teams which were Ridge, Second District, Hollywood and Leonardtown.

We took a loss in our first game against Second District. The tournament was double elimination style so we had to win all other games to stay in the tournament. We met Leonardtown in our 4th game of the day. They had not lost a game throughout the day so we would have to beat them twice to win the championship. We won the first game and then it was on to the championship game. Both games were hard fought by both teams and we came out with the victory in the end.

We thank all those who coordinated the event and we look forward to the tournament next year.
