Thursday evening while returning from the fill in at Waldorf Fire Station 3, a personal injury accident was dispatched on Mechanicsville Road at Yowaiski Mill Rd. Initial reports were of a single truck off the road and head on into a tree. The assignment included Company 2, 29, 59 and SMALS. Engine 52 was in the area and requested to be added to the assignment. Engine 52 arrived to find the truck off the roadway, with one injured for transport. The crew from 52 began stabilizing the vehicle and securing its power, while also assisting a Mechanicsville EMS member with patient care. Units operated for just under 30 minutes and the patient was transported to St. Mary's Hospital.
