On Sunday evening Stations 5, 59, 19 and ALS were alerted to a motor vehicle accident on Budds Creek Road in the area of Buckler Way. Units arrived and located a single motorcyclist that had been struck by another vehicle which fled the scene. EMS crews treated the patient and requested a helicopter. Squad 5 blocked the roadway and assisted EMS on the scene. Engine 52 was diverted to the Clements intersection for the landing site at the ball field. Command held the assignment with Company 5, Ambulance 598 and ALS. Trooper 7 flew the patient to Washington Hospital Center. Units cleared the scene shortly after.
