Callers reported a single family home heavily involved in fire. Engine 52 with Chief 5B arrived on the scene laying a line from the intersection and located the house with heavy fire from the Bravo side.

Engine 52's crew extended attack lines to the front door making and interior attack on the fire. Engine 52's crew knocked down a bulk of the fire while searching for several dogs that were reported to be inside the house. Tanker 5 arrived and supplied Engine 52 while Engine 23 arrived and assisted with fire attack. Chief 7 arrived on the scene and established the Longview Command. Trucks 1 and 7 proceeded to the scene and all other units were held at the entrance to Longview Beach.

The Truck Companies conducted primary searches and secured the utilities. The Truck Crews located three deceased dogs inside the home. Water Supply 5 set up a draft site at Lagoon Drive in the Longview Beach Community. A tanker shuttle was not needed once the fire was knocked down and the Water Supply proceeded to the scene.

Once the fire was extinguished crews continued to operate conducting overhaul and extinguishing hot spots for some time. The State Fire Marshal's Office was requested to respond to the scene for an investigation. Crews remained on the scene assisting the investigator.

Red Cross was requested to respond for the occupant of the home. The fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office. All units returned to quarters in approximately three and a half hours.
