On Sunday at 1017 hours, Station 5, Squad 5, Squad 1, EMS Stations 59 and 19 were alerted to a serious motor vehicle accident on Budds Creek Road in the area of Horseshoe Road. Chief 5 arrived to find two vehicles with one off the road. One vehicle required a door removal to access the patient. Once the door was removed the patient was evaluated and a helicopter was requested. Tanker 51 handled the landing site for Trooper 7 who transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital. Units cleared the scene within 45 minutes.
