Serious Motorcycle Accident In Maddox

On Saturday afternoon Stations 2, 29 and 59 were alerted to a motor vehicle accident on Chaptico Road in the area of Budds Creek Road. As units were responding new information was received that the accident was located at Maddox Road and Notley Hall Road. Company 5 was added to the call.

Chief 5 and Squad 5 responded on the call. Information was received that the patient was seriously injured. A helicopter was started based on the information provided. Ambulance 599 along with Engine 23 and Squad 2 arrived on the scene and located a single motorcycle with a single patient in the woods. Based on the injuries the helicopter was cancelled. Chief 2A assumed command until Chief 5 arrived.

Crews from Company 2 and Company 5 assisted with removing the patient. Ambulance 599 transported the patient priority one to St. Mary's Hospital. The scene was turned over to the Sheriff's Office and all units went in service within an hour.
