Fire Boat Runs Multiple Incidents Over Weekend

7th District Volunteers, July 03

Starting Thursday afternoon Boat 5 ran several water related incidents on the Potomac River and surrounding waterways. Saturday morning Boat 5 and Boat 6 responded to Kinsail Virginia for a Marina Fire. Upon arrival, units from Westmoreland County had contained the fire which involved a boat that had exploded and a pier fire. Two patients were flown by helicopter to trauma centers. Large Field Fire In Clements

At 1215 hours Stations 5, 1, 2, 7, Charles 2 and EMS 59 and 19 were alerted to a structure fire on Coles Adventure Lane in Clements. Fireboard received reports of a barn and field fire threatening other structures. Lieutenant 5 arrived on the scene and located a large field and woods fire but the barn was not yet involved. Engine Runs Car Fire In Chaptico

7th District Volunteer's, June 15

Early Wednesday morning, Engine 5 was dispatched to a vehicle fire on Hurry Road in the area of Lacey Family Lane. Chief 5A and Engine 52 arrived and located a single vehicle off the road and fully involved. The vehicle was abandoned and no one was around. Crews Conduct Training Burn In Bushwood

7th District Volunteer's, June 05

On Sunday morning crews on Engine 52, Tanker 51, Tanker 5 along with Tanker 2 conducted a training burn of a house in Bushwood. The house was prepared in the days prior to the burn and 5 rooms were utilized for the live fire scenarios. Ambulance 598 stood by during the burns. Single Vehicle Accident With Entrapment and Flyout

Early Sunday morning at 1235 hours, Station 5, Squad 5, Squad 2, EMS 59, 19 and ALS were alerted to a motor vehicle accident on Colton Point Road in the area of Abell Road. Initial reports were of a single vehicle accident with CPR in progress. Chief 5A along with Captain 5 located the vehicle on Colton Point Road just prior to the northern entrance of Oakley Road. Annual Potomac River Swin

7th District Volunteer's, June 01

On Thursday afternoon crews from Stations 5, 2, 6 and 59 were on hand for the annual swim across the Potomac River to St. Clement's Island. The swim is done by a group of 11th grade students from The Heights School in Potomac, Maryland. This tradition is a right of passage for the students to become seniors.
