On Monday morning while members were filling in for Company 1 fireboard dispatched a house fire at 22758 Lawrence Avenue. This address was located almost directly across from Fire Station 1. Engine 51 along with Chief 5A responded and arrived on the scene locating a duplex with a fire in the kitchen.

Chief 5A established the command until Chief 1A arrived. The crew pulled a line and entered the structure making a quick knock. Engine 72 arrived right behind Enigne 51 and the crew pulled the back up line assisting with extinguishment and checking for extension. Captain 7 held the interior operations. The crews conducted a primary search which was negative.

Truck Company 1 set up for ventilation of the house. After operating on the scene for approximately 30 minutes, command was terminated and units were released. Engine 51 returned back to Company 1.
