On Wednesday June 23, 2010, Station 5 was alerted to a vehicle fire in the area of Holy Angels Church on Colton Point Road in Avenue. Engine 51 responded to the scene and located a vehicle fully involved upon arrival.

Egnine 51's crew pulled a line and extinguished the fire. The Sheriff's Office Investigated the incident because the vehicle was in motion at the time it caught fire. Once the vehicle was removed from the roadway Engine 51 returned to service.
