In the early morning hours on Sunday, Stations 5, 59, 19 and the Medic Unit were alerted to a motor vehicle accident on Colton Point Road in the area of Budds Creek Road. Units arrived on the scene and located a single patient that was ejected from a motorcycle into a guard rail.

Chief 5 held the command and a helicopter was requested. The second ambulance responding from Company 19 was placed in service. A short time later as Trooper 6 was on the way to the scene they advised they were going to turn back because of weather.

Paramedic Ambulane 597 transported the patient to St. Mary's Hospital. Squad 5 remained on the scene for approximately an hour assisting the Sheriff's Office with lighting.
