On Monday evening at 1900 hours, members went next door to the American Legion Post 221 to take part in their flag disposal ceremony. This ceremony held each year, is the Legions way to properly dispose of a flag that has become unserviceable. People from around the community bring their unserviceable flags to the legion for the ceremony. The officers of the Legion inspect the flags and determine they need to be disposed of and burned. The engine crew stood by for approximately 30 minutes before returning to quarters.
