| The Annual Children’s Day event hosted by the St. Mary’s County Government Museum Division was held on the St. Clement’s Island Museum grounds. It turned out to be an excellent day and numerous local community organizations were on hand to provide a fun and free day of activities for the kids.
The 7th District Optimist provided food. Also on hand were the 7th District Rescue Squad, St. Mary’s County Emergency Services Recruiter and the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office. The water taxi was available to provide rides to tour the island and the lighthouse. For the finale of the event there was a magic show by the “Super Magic Man” that kept the children as well as the adults entertained.
Members from the fire department as well as the auxiliary were on hand to provide fire prevention literature as well as games for the children to enjoy. |
