On Monday afternoon at 1350 hours, Stations 5, 1, 2, 7, EMS Stations 59, 19 and 29 were alerted to a garage fire on Richard Wilson Lane in Colton's Point. Engine 51 and Chief 5 responded and upon arrival located a detached garage fully involved.

Chief 5 established the command and the crew from Engine 51 pulled two lines to the fire. A bulk of the fire was knocked at the garage and a brush fire had extended behind the structure. Brush 5 was able to access the brush and stopped the fire about 50 yards behind the structure.

Upon arrival Engine 14 picked up Engine 51's line at the end of Richard Wilson Lane and Truck 1 reported to the scene. Engine 24 and 74 both supplied a tank of water while their personnel operated at the scene. The tanker fill site was set up at Station 5.

Once the fire was out units were released from the scene. Forestry was notified about the incident after discovering it spread from a burn pile at the scene.

All units returned to quarters by 1600 hours.
