On Monday morning at 0723 hours, Companies 5, 59 and 19 were alerted to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Once on the road, fireboard advised Squad 5 that the updated location was now in on Colton Point Road about 1/2 mile from Budds Creek Rd. Squad 5 arrived on scene to find a single vehicle off the roadway that had cut off a utility pole. The patient was already out of the vehicle and the Squad crew began patient care. Engine 54 was next arriving and began securing the vehicle and assisted Squad 5. With just the single patient, command scaled the incident back to the one ambulance from Company 59. Ambulance 597 arrived on scene and took the patient priority two to SMH. The scene was then turned over to the Sheriffs Office and all units returned to service. As the Squad crew returned to quarters they were alerted to a priority 1 EMS assist in Avenue.
