Units Respond To Electrical Fire In Avenue

On Sunday morning, Stations 5 and 1 were alerted to an odor of smoke in a residence on Boatman Lane in Avenue. Chief 5, Engine 52, Tanker 5 and Engine 51 responded from the station. Upon arrival Chief 5 and Engine 52 located a two story residence with no signs of fire.

After further investigation an electrical outlet was found to have burned itself out. The assignment was held with Engine 52. The crew checked the house and found no further extension.

Units returned to quarters within 20 minutes.
