On Saturday afternoon at 1811 hours, Stations 1, 5, 19, 59 and ALS were alerted to a motor vehicle accident on Bayside Road in Compton. Reports were of a single vehicle accident with heavy entrapment.

Squad 1 and Truck 1 arrived and both began the extrication. Squad 5 arrived a short time after Truck 1 and the crew assisted at the vehicle. Tools were utilized off both Squad 1 and Truck 1 for the extrication. After the roof and doors were removed the dash was rolled to gain access to the patient.

Engine 10 handled the landing site for Trooper 7 who landed right at the accident scene. Two of the three patients in the vehicle were flown to Prince George's Trauma Center. The third patient was transported to St. Mary's Hospital.

The Squad crew assisted Company 1 with picking up and then returned to quarters. The crew operated on the scene for approximately 30 minutes.
