Fall From Horse Leads To Flyout

On Monday evening while members were beginning their monthly business meeting, companies were dispatched for an injuries from a fall off of Dannys Lane in Chaptico. Engine 52 responded just after dispatch with a crew of 5 and received updated information that a female had been thrown from a horse and was unresponsive. Engine 52 arrived on the scene and located the patient approximately 200 feet off a private drive in a field. The patient was conscious and alert upon arrival. After a patient assessment a helicopter was requested to fly the patient to a trauma center. MSP Trooper 7 was landed at the scene and transported the patient to Children's Hospital. Units returned to quarters within an hour.
