On Saturday afternoon while members were at the Blessing of the Fleet, a Water Rescue Box was alerted in the Wicomico River. Callers reported a sailboat had overturned with three subjects in the water. Boat 5 along with Chief 5 and Squad 5 responded from Colton's Point to the incident. Chief 5 arrived on scene at Chaptico Wharf and established the Chaptico Command. Visual contact was made with the boat which had become upright again. All three occupants were able to get back in the boat and were accounted for. The wind pushed the boat to shore and the occupants were brought to awaiting EMS units on the scene. All three occupants of the boat were uninjured and signed refusals. The boat was pulled up on the shore and command was terminated. Units operated for approximately 30 minutes.
