| On Saturday June 4th at 1500hrs, Engine 54, Brush 5A and UTV5 headed to 7th District Optimist Park to stand by at the Swamp Romp hosted by the 7th District Optimist Club. The crew from Engine 54 set up a Fire Prevention booth where parents and kids had a chance to ask questions, check out the apparatus, and look at the gear and equipment that fire fighters wear on a daily basis.
At around 2000hrs the crews from Engine 54 and Brush 5A started getting prepared to make sure everything was in place for the fireworks display. After a long day of fun, good music, and an awesome display of fireworks crews packed up the gear and headed home. All units cleared the park and were in quarters by 2200hrs. |
