Single Vehicle Accident In Abell

Thursday evening at approximately 1830 hours, Chief 5 drove up on a single vehicle accident on Abell Road at Hatchet Thicket Road. The vehicle was off the road into a tree in the woods. A electric pole with wires and transformers were also down. Companies 5, 59 and 19 were dispatched to the incident.

A single patient was located out of the vehicle. Upon arrival Squad 5 began patient care and checked and secured the vehicle. The patient was loaded into Ambulance 598. The crew from Engine 52 assisted with securing the scene.

Ambulance 598 transported to St. Mary's Hospital priority two. Crews remained on the scene assisting the Sheriffs Office until SMECO arrived. Units returned to quarters within 90 minutes.
