On Thursday evening just before 1700 hours, Company 5 was alerted to the area of 24020 Hurry Road in Clements for a woods fire. Brush 5 responded just after dispatch with 2 volunteers. Chief 5A was the first to arrive and advised he had half an acre involved with exposure to a nearby shed. Brush 5 arrived shortly after and was able to knock the fire threatening the shed and extinguish the remaining fire within a few minutes. Brush 5A arrived shortly after and assisted with mop up, units operated for approximately half an hour before returning to quarters.
