Friday night at 2315 hours, Stations 5, 1 and 59 were alerted to a chimney fire on Sandy Lane in Longview Beach. Upon arrival units located a single story house with fire showing from the chimney. Engine 52's crew operated inside the house while Engine 51's crew operated on the roof. Tanker 5 proceeded to the scene and all other units were placed in staging at the entrance to Longview Beach. Crews chained the chimney and check for further extension. Once the fire was out the assignment was held with Company 5. Crews packed up and returned to service within an hour.
