| On Sunday morning at 0910 hours, Company 5, Squad 5, Company 1, Squad 1, Companies 59, 19 and ALS were alerted to a motor vehicle accident next to Capt. Sam's on Colton Point Road. Reports were of a single vehicle into a building with one person trapped. Chief 5 arrived shortly after dispatch and located a vehicle into the front of the Sububan Plumbing and Heating Building with one occupant still inside. After further investigation, the occupant climbed from the driver's side and was able to open a passengers door. Squad 5 arrived and the crew stabalized the vehicle and began patient care. The assignment was held with Companies 5 and 59. Once Ambulance 598 arrived, the patient was loaded for transport. Crews checked the building for structural damage and cleaned debris from the road. Once the ambulance transported the patient to St. Mary's Hospital, units returned to quarters. |
