On Sunday evening Water Supply 5 was alerted on a structure fire assignment in Company 7's area on Barnes Court. The police responded to the home for a 911 hangup call and arrived to find the house on fire. Chief 7A arrived locating the single story house with fire through the roof. Crews from Hollywood arrived and began an attack on the fire. Additional units from Stations 2, 1, and 9 also arrived and took their assignments on the scene.

A burn victim was located at the scene and after an assessment by EMS, a helicopter was requested to fly the patient to a burn center. Water Supply 5 proceeded to Grand View Haven to establish a water supply point for tanker operations. Tanker 51 also responded on the call a short time after the initial dispatch with four volunteers. Once Tanker 51 arrived the crew proceeded to the scene and the unit held up on Lovevillle Road for to stand by with water.

Once the fire was under control, Water Supply 5 shut down their operations and proceeded to the scene to assist with overhaul. Both Tanker 51 and Water Supply 5 operated on the scene for about 90 minutes before returning to quarters.
