Boat 5 Returns To Service After Rehab Project

Over the past several months Boat 5 has undergone a rehab project for several modifications and upgrades. Boat 5 is a 2001 25' Sea Ark Commander. The boat had the rehab work done at Willard Marine in Virginia Beach, VA. The rehab project included the following:

-Upgrade motors from 115 hp to 150 hp
-Change lights to LED emergency lighting
-Add LED scene lighting
-Replace search light
-Replace fire pump
-Replace master stream device with remote control device
-Re-paint the entire exterior
-Re-surface the non skid coating on the floors, deck boards and roof
-Build enclosure for new fire pump
-Repair corrosion behind rub rails and area on the hull of the boat

Boat 5 returned to the station from Willard Marine a few weeks ago. Members were able to get training time in with the new equipment and motors. After training was complete and the motors were finished with their break in time the boat went for lettering. It was place back in service Friday evening and will be responding to calls for service again as needed.
