Two Vehicle Accident On Colton Point Road

On Friday afternoon Stations 5, 59 and 19 were alerted to a motor vehicle accident on Colton Point Road at Hurry Road. A short time after dispatch additional information was received that two vehicles were involved with one person trapped. The assignment was upgraded adding Squad 1 and the Medic Unit. Chief 5A arrived on the scene and confirmed one trapped and established the command.

Squad 5 arrived on scene and the crew completed the extrication. Squad 1's crew proceeded to the scene to assist. Ambulance 598 transported priority two while Ambulance 196 transported priority three to Medstar St. Mary's. Crews secured both vehicles and contained the fluid leaks.

Squad 1 was placed in service and Squad 5 and Engine 52 remained on scene for a short time assisting the Sheriff's Office. All units returned to quarters within 40 minutes.
