On Friday morning crews on Engine 52 and Tanker 5 went to Dynard Elementary School for fire prevention talks and demonstrations. As units arrived a fire drill was conducted. Once students were settled back in school a large assembly was held in the cafeteria. Members provided the students with numerous lessons on fire prevention. After a short talk, the students cheered on their favorite firefighter during a race to get geared up. All of the students then got to tour the apparatus. Members returned back to the school in the afternoon to visit the afternoon pre-k class.

Friday evening crews on Engine 52 and Squad 5 participated in the Fall Festival at the school. Crews provided lighting for the outdoor event which consisted of many games and activities. A fire prevention booth was set up with many handouts for the children and their families.
