On Friday evening the annual Community Christmas Party was held at the station. This event held each year is sponsored by the Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary, Seventh District Volunteer Rescue Squad and Auxiliary, Seventh District Optimist Club, American Legion Post 221 and Auxiliary.

This year despite the bad weather we had a great turnout. Fire truck rides began at 5:00 and at 6:30 a parade of fire and ems apparatus came up Colton Point Road. Santa arrived on Rescue Squad 5. Many local businesses donated toys for the door prizes. There were some great gifts for children to choose from after visiting with Santa. We would like to send a special thanks to Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department, Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department and Ridge Volunteer Fire Department for bringing apparatus to help out with the fire truck rides.
