Volunteers Respond To Barn Fire In Colton's Point

At 1045 hours on Wednesday morning, Station 5 and surrounding companies were alerted to a barn fire on Bowles Road in Colton's Point. Units arrived on scene and located a 30 x 50 building along with a truck and boat fully involved.

Tanker 51 pulled two lines to the fire and began to extinguish. The crew from Tanker 51 knocked the bulk of the fire and the assignment was held with Company 5, 1, 2, Truck 7 and the Ambulance. All crews assisted with extinguishing the remaining fire and with overhaul for a short time before being placed in service.

Chief 5A held the Bowles Road Command. The State Fire Marshals Office was requested to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
