| Early Saturday morning Station 5 was alerted to a smoke investigation on Maddox Road in Bushwood. Smoke filled the area again from the large brush fire in Virginia. Prior to any units responding to the investigation, personnel were advised of a vehicle on its side with a single injury on Colton Point Road, in the area of Capt. Sam's Store.
Chief 5, Rescue Squad 5 and Engine 54 responded and arrived on the scene a short time later. Crews began patient care and secured the vehicle. Once Ambulance 597 arrived the patient was placed in the ambulance and transported priority three to St. Mary's Hospital.
Squad 5 remained on the scene for a short time to assist with lighting. All units returned to quarters within an hour. |
