On Monday evening units were alerted mutual aid to Company 2 for a large fuel spill on Asher Road in Country Lakes. Squad 5 and Engine 54 both responded to the scene. Squad 2 arrived and located a dump truck with a saddle tank that had been comprimised and was leaking fuel.

Crews from Mechanicsville went to work containing the spill. The crew from Squad 5 arrived and assisted with putting down absorbant. Engine 54 staged on the opposite side of the incident until the spill was contained.

Hazmat 18 responded and assessed the scene and made contact with MDE. The spilled fuel was cleaned up and Company 5 units returned to quarters within an hour.
