Traumatic Injuries in Maddox

On Thanksgiving morning at 1013 hours, Stations 5, 59 and the Medic unit were called to 36184 Willow Glen Lane in Maddox for a subject reported to have been thrown from a horse with a neck injury. Engine 54 responded shortly after dispatch, followed by Brush 5 and UTV 5. UTV 5 transported both fire and EMS staff about a quarter mile down a horse trail and located the individual who was conscious however immobile. Crews from Company 5 assisted EMS with patient packaging and loading the patient onto UTV 5 for transport to the ambulance.
