| On Saturday evening the department held its annual Installation of Officers and Awards Banquet. The evening began with installing the 2012 Officer's. The Operational, Executive and the Auxiliary Officers were sworn in by representatives from the Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association. Sheriff Tim Cameron was the Master of Cermonies for the evening.
After the officer's were installed guests enjoyed a great meal prepared by Bailey's Catering. Once dinner was over the awards presentation began. This years winners were:
Kyle Hecker - Top Responder
Jerry West and Jason Tyer - Rookies of the Year
Robby Oliver - Chief's Award
Justin Hall - Firefighter of the Year
All of the winners were very deserving of the awards and worked hard throughout the year. Once the awards were over members enjoyed a great evening with the Sam Grow Band.
