| On Tuesday at 1522 hours Company 5 was alerted for the MVA with Injuries in the area of the Clements intersection. Squad 5 responded shortly after dispatch with four personnel. Units arrived to a rear end style collision with three injured that included two pediatric patients. Squad 5 arrived on scene along with EMS who took over patient care, while Squad 5 stabilized and cut power to both vehicles with assistance from Engine 54's crew. After assessment by EMS a helo was requested for the driver of the second vehicle, who was flown to PG Shock Trauma. Engine 54 handled the landing site, while Squad 5 assisted reopening the roadway. Units operated just under an hour before returning to quarters. |
