| On Thursday morning at 0511 hours, Stations 5 and 1 were alerted to a brush fire on Chasko Road in Abell. Units responded to the scene and located a dumpster and large woods fire.
Brush 5 and Brush 5A pulled lines into the woods and began extinguishing the fire. Tanker 5 supplied the brush units and also extended a 1 3/4" attack line into the woods. Engine 54 responded for manpower and the crews raked areas in the woods.
The assignment was held with the units from Company 5. Crews worked for about an hour extinguishing the fire. |
