| The Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department has signed a contact with U.S. Tanker out of Delevan, WI, to build us a new tanker. The local dealer for U.S. Tanker is Red Storm Fire. The Tanker will be replacing our 1980 Pumper/Tanker, Engine 53, which will be for sale in the next couple of weeks.
The new tanker will be on a Kenworth T800 chassis and will be a 3,000 gallon elliptical style. The unit will have a 1,000 GPM Hale pump, a 3,500 gallon portable tank, rear and side 10" dumps, and dual rear fills. The unit will be equipped with LED emergency lighting and scene lighting. It will also have various equipment and hose.
We will post pictures during the construction of the unit. We are expecting an October completion date for Tanker 5.
