By Lieutenant T.J. Faunce
November 30, 2012

Friday afternoon at approximately 1300 hours, Companies 5, 1, 2, 7, 59 and 19 were alerted to Upland Drive in Longview Beach for the reported kitchen fire. Engine 54 arrived to find a single family, one story home with nothing evident from all sides. The crew made entry to the residence and located the kitchen where the fire had already been extinguished prior to arrival of units. There was superficial damage to the cabinets and appliances and all were removed and the thermal imager was used to check for extension. Tanker 5 arrived next and checked the attic area with negative results. The assignment was held with Company 5 only and units returned shortly after ventilating the home.

Units: Engine 54, Tanker 5, Brush 5A

Mutual Aid: Engine 14, Truck 1, Engine 74, Engine 24, Charles Co.14, Ambulance 599 Ambulance 197
