On Tuesday night at 2057 hours, Stations 5, 59 and 19 were alerted to a motor vehicle accident on Colton Point Road in the area of Elmer Bailey Lane. Chief 5 arrived on the scene and located a vehicle that had overturned but was sitting upright in a ditch. A single patient was located sitting in the vehicle but was not trapped.
Squad 5 arrived and the crew secured the vehicle and began patient care until EMS arrived. Engine 54 arrived and the crew assisted with traffic. Ambulance 597 treated the patient and then got a refusal. The scene was turned over to the Sheriff's Office and all units returned to quarters.
