| On Saturday afternoon at 1225 hours, Station 5 was alerted for the boat mutual aid to Charles County for an overturned vessel in the area of Cobb Island. MSU 5 and Boat 5 responded and launched from Bushwood Wharf.
The crew launched the boat and responded across the river locating the overturned boat with two subjects in the water. Both patients were pulled from the river onto Boat 5 and transported to awaiting EMS on the Charles County shoreline. Both patients were suffering from cold exposure and one had a leg injury.
After transferring the patients to EMS, Boat 5 returned to service and Boat 14 stood by until resources arrived to remove the sunken vessel. Boat 5 returned to quarters at 1311 hours. |
