At 0443 hours Saturday morning, Station 5 was alerted to a house fire on Park Place in Colton's Point. Chief 5 arrived and located fire showing from sides Charlie and Delta of a single story residence. Chief 5 established the command and confirmed all occupants were out of the home.

Engine 52 arrived with 6 personnel and made an aggressive attack on the fire. Tanker 51 pulled a back up line to the home upon arrival from Engine 52. The crews knocked the fire and began opening up as additional units arrived. Crews from Truck 1, Tanker 14 and Engine 21 operated within the structure. All other personnel were held in a manpower pool before being released. Ambulance 598 and 198 assisted at the scene and transported two patients to MedStar St. Mary's Hospital.

The State Fire Marshals Office, SMECO and The American Red Cross were all requested to the scene. The cause of the fire will be investigated by the Fire Marshals Office.
