Thursday at 21:26 hours, Squad 5, Squad 2, EMS 59, 29 and ALS were alerted to the area of 24298 Maddox Road in Chaptico for a single vehicle into a tree with one trapped. Callers reported that the single occupant was in and out of consciousness.

Chief 2A arrived and located the accident in the 2-26 box confirming a single vehicle into a tree with one patient trapped. Squad 5, Chief 5, Squad 2 and Engine 52 completed the extrication in approximately 15 minutes. The patient was turned over to EMS and transported to Chaptico Park. Engine 23 handled the landing site for Trooper 2 who transported the patient to a trauma center.
