At approximately 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning, an aircraft incident assignment was dispatched on Hollywood Road in the area of Dorsey Park. Callers reported seeing a plane crash in the area. Multiple units responded and coordinated with 911 callers to pinpoint an area where the plane was reported to have gone down. Chief 1A established the command. Crews were deployed throughout the area conducting searches. At approximately 10:15 a.m., the plane was located. Personnel confirmed the plane had crashed deep in a wooded area and the single passenger was deceased. The scene was turned over to the police for investigation. UTV 5 remained on scene to assist personnel from Company 7 during the investigation. Engine/Tanker 54 transferred to Company 1 during the incident.
