At 0034 hours on Monday morning, Stations 5, 59 and 19 were alerted to a motor vehicle accident on Colton Point Road in the area of Hills Auto Repair. Units responded and the accident was located on Maddox Road in the area of Longview Beach.
Crews arrived to find a single vehicle that had driven into an electric pole. There were four occupants in the vehicle that were all minors. Ambulances from Company 59 and 19 transported the four patients to St. Mary's Hospital.
The crews from Engine 54 and Squad 5 secured the scene and called for SMECO to respond for the damaged electric pole. Units returned to quarters at 0111 hours.
